Store register — the instruments' read list¶
This table is a machine input. Every location the ledger instruments (ledger-02-gate1-v7.py,
ledger-02-emit-v7.py) or any brief reads has a row here, addressed by id. No instrument carries a
store path or a digest as a constant (BRIEF-LEDGER-V7, R-V7-1/R-V7-2).
role ∈ main · legacy · predecessor · body-tree · export · ledger-set-root.
An instrument that wants only current databases filters role = main (plus legacy where the store
is a pair). A predecessor row is kept so a brief that reads one — LIFT-AUDIT-01 reads e2-rto-01 —
has a canonical place to read it from, with superseded_by naming what replaced it.
~/mirror is the one path constant, by construction — every row below is relative to it and
its own row is ..
A directory has no digest. body-tree and ledger-set-root rows carry — and a file count:
inventing a manifest hash would be a new fact, and this brief has not measured one.
tga-data-model.md §1 keeps its prose and cites the row id per store cell. The instruments assert
that §1's digest text AGREES with this table — two sources that must match beats one that can
silently drift.

Known-present controls — one per store, the expectation and where it is filed¶
A count is a fact about a particular store. It moves when the store moves, so it lives here
with the store set rather than inside the instrument, where it would go stale on the same event.
expected is asserted against the measured count AND against the cited artefact, which must
carry the figure — the control keeps its discipline; only its home has changed.

⚠ tga-history's two controls have weaker provenance than the other thirteen, and the difference
matters. The thirteen above cite the brief that measured the store — an independent witness that
existed before any promotion. history had none: the register's own row recorded it as "read by no
ledger instrument today". These two figures come from PROMOTE-01's census, certified against the
SQLite source by PROMOTE-02 Gate 4's content fingerprints (promote-02-g3-history-fingerprints.tsv,
39ccdac754d68e6b, 24/24 IDENTICAL) and re-asserted from Postgres at Gate 5. So they are certified
against the file, not witnessed by a second instrument. The next brief that reads history for its
own purpose should cite itself here and retire this note (PROMOTE-02 Gate 5, 2026-09-19).
Promotion register¶
[2026-09-15, NAME-RETIRE-02, R-NR-4]
Runtime naming and promotion per store are CLOSED for the seven stores of record — PROMOTE-02 landed all eight SQLite stores in library on db-01.bne on 2026-09-19; PROMOTE-01 is SUPERSEDED WHOLE and is not to be run. Every live document points here rather than carrying its own note (R-NR-4). A store of record is read by the new build only through its Product-account promotion; the prototype's rto-nrt-db is frozen (R-NR-2, R-NR-3). Timing and shape for PROMOTE-01 are ruled by outputs/rulings/RULING-PROMOTE-DIRECTION-01-2026-09-16.md 5e9da62847f716ec (2026-09-16): promote now rather than at the product turn, one store per gate or per brief, counts asserted on the far side after every load.

Archives¶
An archive is a frozen, dated copy of ~/mirror, held off the internal disk, never updated. It is not a store and no instrument reads it. It exists so that a file removed from ~/mirror by a later, ruled tidy can still be produced. A later archive is a new line and a new folder, never a change to an old one. Archives are written as bullets, never as table rows, and this section contains no pipe character anywhere: every reader of this file takes a line beginning with a pipe for a store, so a table row here would be read as one.
